FAQ

When is the next WARDOGS wipe?
The officially confirmed anchor is Season 2 on 15 October 2026, from the official teaser (gid 1844115010504839). A full progress reset tied to that date exists only as a media report of 22 September — Bulkhead has not published a wipe date. The in-game Gold Exchange text says the reset date "will be announced ahead of time", and the exact day is still unannounced.
Is the WARDOGS Season 2 wipe officially confirmed?
No — not in Bulkhead's own words. The official teaser announcement contains the date and nothing else: "WARDOGS Season 02 is coming. 15th October 2026. Stay tuned for more details." The wipe claim comes from a PlayGround.ru report relayed on the Steam news feed on 22 September 2026. Until Bulkhead publishes wipe language in its own channels, the reset stays Community-reported.
What gets reset in WARDOGS?
Two levels of evidence, neither official-web: the in-game Gold Exchange panel — as quoted by community sources, checked 28 September 2026 — says "At the end of a major update cycle your level progression and cash will be reset." The 22 September media report adds that all unlocked items and ranks return to their initial state alongside the Season 2 start.
What carries over between WARDOGS seasons?
Community consensus, checked 28 September 2026: gold bars and cosmetics bought with them stay on your account between seasons, and any leftover cash is automatically exchanged for gold bars at whatever the daily gold rate is. No official English text states this — it is quoted from the in-game Gold Exchange panel and consistent across community sources.
Should I stop grinding before the wipe?
Grind with open eyes, not in panic. What you learned carries — the wipe resets numbers, not knowledge. Per-patch XP tables and prices on this site are version-stamped and will be re-verified against Season 2 data. If the reset lands as reported, cash converted at the daily rate means stockpiling cash has a floor, not a total loss — but that mechanism is community-reported, not official.
When will Bulkhead announce official wipe details?
A window exists: the official 3-million-sales announcement of 26 September 2026 (gid 1844751498227777) says "More information dropping later next week" — the week of 28 September. This page is re-checked after every official announcement; the date stamp above tells you whether the details have landed yet.

Every few days, a new thread appears on the WARDOGS subreddit asking the same thing: what actually gets wiped each season? The question ranks so high because no official page answers it. Bulkhead has published exactly one line about Season 2 — a date — and the sites filling the silence disagree about what happens to your unlocks, your cash and your gold bars, usually without telling you where any of it came from.

This page is the arbitration layer. Every claim below carries a source level — Official (Bulkhead’s own channel, quoted verbatim), Reported (media relay or community-attested in-game text, dated and attributed) or Unannounced (nobody has said anything, and we are not filling the hole with a guess). Everything was pulled first-hand on 28 September 2026 — seventeen days before the season lands — and the table is re-checked after every official announcement.

One finding shapes the whole page: as of 28 September 2026, the word “wipe” has never appeared in any official English-language WARDOGS announcement. We walked the Steam news feed item by item to the launch of the game and the store page besides. Everything about the reset — including its tie to 15 October — lives one level below official. That is exactly the kind of gap a schedule page must show, not paper over.

The Part That Is Settled: Season 2 Starts 15 October 2026

The official teaser went out on the Steam community announcements feed on 22 September 2026. In full:

WARDOGS Season 02 is coming. 15th October 2026. Stay tuned for more details. (official announcement “WARDOGS | Season 02 Teaser”, gid 1844115010504839, 22 September 2026)

BULKHEAD — WARDOGS | Season 02 Teaser (official)

That is the entire official Season 2 record: a date, a teaser video, and a promise of more. The only other official signal arrived on 26 September, in the 3-million-sales announcement (gid 1844751498227777): “The team is knuckled down and working on Season 02 and beyond. More information dropping later next week.” So an official feature list — the moment that should also settle the wipe question — was promised for the week of 28 September. When it lands, the rows below change; the date stamp at the top of this page tells you whether it has happened yet.

For the full roadmap around that date — fighter jets, the price ladder, the console window — see the WARDOGS roadmap page, which keeps the gid-level receipt trail for every forward-looking claim.

The Wipe Is Reported for 15 October — by Media, Not by Bulkhead

The reset claim entered the record on 22 September 2026, hours after the teaser, through a PlayGround.ru report carried on the Steam news feed (gid 1844115010505346). Translated from the Russian original, checked first-hand on 28 September:

“Alongside the start of the second season, the developers will conduct a full progress reset. All unlocked items and ranks will return to their initial state.”

That is the most consequential sentence in the whole Season 2 story if you are grinding — and it is exactly why it carries a Reported label, not Official: the words are the outlet’s, not Bulkhead’s. The official teaser published the same day says nothing about a reset. No official channel — announcement, store page, or trailer — has ever used wipe or reset language in English.

The claim is consistent with the one official sentence that exists about seasons. The Season 1 changelog of 9 September 2026 (gid 1843481262690549) states: “Each season we will have a different XP curve with different item orders.” Different curves and item orders per season imply resets — but the changelog never says “wipe”, never says when, and never says what carries over. The official text stops one step short of the thing players actually need to know.

The In-Game Text the Whole Community Quotes

Every specific number behind rows five and six comes from one place: the Gold Exchange panel printed in the game itself. Community sites quote it consistently, and the wording is worth reading exactly:

“At the end of a major update cycle your level progression and cash will be reset. The date of any major update and progression reset will be announced ahead of time. Any remaining cash at the end of a cycle will be automatically exchanged for gold bars.”

(as quoted on the wardogshub.gg progress-wipe FAQ, cross-checked against community discussion, 28 September 2026)

The wording has now also been photographed in the client. The frame below shows the notice opened from the info icon on the UNLOCK screen — an in-game info popup carrying the same three sentences community sites attribute to the Gold Exchange panel; an English filming of the Gold Exchange panel interior itself has not surfaced, so the exchange-panel photographs further down serve as the cross-reference.

Source: TimeToFixThis! — watch at 0:22.

Two honest caveats keep this at Reported, not Official. First, the text reaches you through community quotation — we cannot link a developer publication carrying it, and you should confirm it in your own client (Gold Market → exchange panel) before planning around it. Second, in-game wording can change patch to patch without a changelog entry. The panel is nevertheless the strongest evidence in the file: it is checkable by any player, it matches the media relay, and it explains the machinery — cycle ends, levels and cash reset, remainder converts at the moving daily rate.

Note what the panel does not say: it never ties the reset to 15 October. It promises the date “will be announced ahead of time”. The tie between the cycle end and the Season 2 launch date is the media relay’s work — plausible, unconfirmed, and the single most likely thing the week-of-28-September announcement will settle.

Before 15 October: What To Do With This

Practical reads, each tied to a row above:

  • Treat cash as cyclical. If the conversion mechanism is right, unspent cash is not destroyed — it converts to gold bars at a daily rate. But the rate moves, and nothing official protects a stockpile. Spend what you were going to spend; do not hoard on the assumption of a favorable conversion. Our money-making guide covers the earning side either way.
  • Grind with open eyes. The wipe resets numbers, not what you know — map knowledge, aim and positioning survive every reset, which is the one advantage nobody can patch out. If you are chasing specific unlocks first, the XP leveling guide shows where the hours go; the is WARDOGS worth it page weighs the grind question in full.
  • Gold and cosmetics are the reported safe harbor — reported being the word. Every community source agrees they carry across seasons, and the exchange mechanism gives cash a path into them. Just remember the label: consensus, not policy.
  • Watch for the official drop, not rumors of it. The details were promised for the week of 28 September. When they arrive, the roadmap registry and this page update the same day, and any row above that gets official wording moves to Official with the quote attached.

How to re-verify every row yourself, without trusting us:

  • Official announcements: the Steam news feed for appid 1867240 (api.steampowered.com/ISteamNews/GetNewsForApp/v2/) lists every item with its gid and timestamp. Every gid above is a real feed item — we pulled them first-hand on 28 September 2026.
  • The in-game panel: launch the client, open the Gold Market and read the exchange panel. If its wording differs from the quotation above, the game wins — tell us via the contact page and the table gets corrected.
  • The patch record: our Season 1 patch notes page tracks every patch and its dated sections — that is where each new changelog lands first, and the reference this page’s gameVersion stamp points at.

The moment Bulkhead publishes wipe wording in its own words, every row it touches moves to Official with the quote attached — and until then, this page will keep saying so plainly rather than joining the sites that confuse a date announcement with a wipe announcement.

All evidence on this page was pulled first-hand on 28 September 2026: the Steam news feed for WARDOGS (appid 1867240) via the public ISteamNews endpoint — every gid above is a real feed item with the timestamp shown — the Steam store page, the community sources named in the table, and the PlayGround.ru relay read in the original Russian. Claims relayed through media or community sites are labeled Reported; the absence of an official statement is labeled Unannounced and is itself checked, not assumed. This page is re-verified after every official announcement; the date stamp above tells you how current it is.
