WARDOGS Roadmap: Season 2 on 15 October, Fighter Jets and Every Official Plan
WARDOGS Season 2 is officially dated 15 October 2026. Every roadmap claim — fighter jets, price rises, the 2028 console window — arbitrated with quote, gid and date.

WARDOGS has no roadmap page. Bulkhead has never published a “coming soon” list, and the game’s own store section answers questions about the future in ranges, not dates. That has not stopped most ranking pages from presenting a roadmap anyway — assembled from paraphrases of paraphrases, with dates invented at every hop.
This page takes the opposite approach: it is a registry, not a preview. Every forward-looking statement that actually exists is listed with its source, its date and a verdict — Confirmed (an official channel said it, quoted here), Teased (developer remarks relayed through news outlets, dated) or Unconfirmed (the question is open, and we are not filling it with a guess). Every item below was pulled first-hand from the Steam news feed for appid 1867240 and the store page on 27 September 2026, and every Steam item is cited by its news gid so you can find the original yourself.
One timing note, because it matters: Bulkhead dated Season 2 on 22 September 2026 — five days before this page was compiled. That is early enough to arbitrate the whole pre-announcement record while the season is still eighteen days out, and before the studio publishes whatever it told players to expect “later next week”.
Confirmed, Teased, Unconfirmed: How Each Item Is Judged
Three verdicts, applied strictly:
- Confirmed — an official Bulkhead channel said it and the words are quoted here: the Steam store page’s Early Access section, official Steam community announcements, or the launch trailer. A confirmed statement is still only that — a statement; “planned” things slip.
- Teased — a Bulkhead figure said it, but we only have it through a media relay carried on the Steam news feed (PCGamesN, GamesRadar+, PlayGround.ru). The words are the outlet’s, the speaker is the developer, and no official text exists. These are the items most likely to shift.
- Unconfirmed — no official source says anything. The row stays in the registry with the hole visible, because “nobody has said” is itself the answer searchers need.
The Full Registry: Every Roadmap Signal, Sourced and Judged
Filter the registry by verdict; the default view shows every row. Each source cites its Steam news gid (items on the official feed are linked) or the store page, which we re-verified on 27 September 2026.

Season 2: What the Official Date Pins Down — and What It Does Not
The date itself comes from an official Steam announcement, published 22 September 2026:
WARDOGS | Season 02 Teaser — “WARDOGS Season 02 is coming. 15th October 2026. Stay tuned for more details.” (gid 1844115010504839)
That is the entire official Season 2 record as of 27 September: a date and nothing else. Everything else you have read about Season 2 is one of the two relays:
- 18 September 2026 (gid 1844115010495442): PCGamesN reports Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer teasing that Season 2 “will include features that were cut from the initial early access launch”. Which features — there is still no list. The same relay carried the studio’s first timing hint, “just weeks away”.
- 20 September 2026 (gid 1844115010499261): a further relay of the chief executive’s remarks puts the estimate at “roughly three weeks” — which, counted from 20 September, lands in the same early-to-mid-October window the official teaser then fixed. It also names the two problems the team says it is analysing: the balance between sides and the current state of transport vehicles.
The arbitration point worth keeping: the relayed estimate and the official date agree. “Roughly three weeks” from 20 September is approximately 11 October; the official announcement says 15 October. The relay was honest — and it was still not a date until Bulkhead said so itself.
One more official line, from the 3-million-sales announcement of 26 September 2026 (gid 1844751498227777): “The team is knuckled down and working on Season 02 and beyond. More information dropping later next week.” So a second official drop — the one that should finally say what is in Season 2 — was promised for the week of 28 September. When it lands, the rows above change; the date stamp at the top of this page will tell you whether it has happened yet.
The Wipe Question: Now Tied to 15 October — in Reporting Only
The old wipe signal was vague: Season 1 notes say every season carries a different XP curve and item order, and the studio separately indicated a full wipe roughly a month into Early Access. The 22 September relay (gid 1844115010505346) sharpens it considerably: it states that alongside the Season 2 start on 15 October, the developers will run a full progress reset — all unlocked items and ranks back to their initial state — to equalise starting positions each season.
That is the most consequential roadmap item on this page if you are grinding, and it is exactly why the verdict is Teased and not Confirmed: the wipe has never appeared in Bulkhead’s own words. The official teaser says nothing about it. Until an official post puts reset language in writing, treat the 15 October wipe as expected-but-unannounced — and read our Season 1 patch notes page for what the studio has said in its own words so far.
The 1.0 Plan: Fighter Jets and the Rest of the Store List
The closest thing to a content roadmap for 1.0 is the store page’s own Early Access section, re-verified word for word on 27 September 2026. On what the full version will add:
“Alongside this, we plan broader gameplay additions such as new vehicle types including fighter jets, expanded weapon categories, additional objective variations, and continued improvements to the core WARDOGS experience.”
Read that table of contents with its verbs attached: every item is planned, none is dated, and none is ordered. The same section puts the emphasis elsewhere — “our primary focus is on building deeper reasons to play beyond individual matches”, naming “more in depth progression systems, a stronger seasonal meta game, and additional systems that reward players for the time and impact they bring to a match, whether through combat, support, or logistics”.
Two things people routinely get wrong about this list:
- Fighter jets are not a Season 2 feature. The list describes the full version. No official source attaches fighter jets, or any other specific addition, to a season or a date.
- The list has no order. “Expanded weapon categories” arriving before fighter jets, objective variations after — none of that is stated anywhere. Anyone publishing a sequence is writing fiction.
And the same section carries the sentence that frames the whole Early Access: “We expect WARDOGS to remain in Early Access for around 1 to 2 years.” Counted from the 10 September 2026 launch, that is a full-release window between September 2027 and September 2028 — our arithmetic on the developer’s own range, not a published date, and the store text itself warns that “the exact duration may change depending on how development and community feedback evolves.”
The Price Ladder: Official Direction Versus the Interview Numbers
The store page’s price statement is direction without numbers: “we plan for WARDOGS to be priced lower during Early Access, with a higher price at full release.” No amount, no date — our Early Access commitments page carries the full quote.
On 23 September 2026, a Steam news relay (gid 1844751498217571) of a GamesRadar+ interview with CEO Joe Brammer put numbers on it for the first time: $49.99 when the game reaches version 0.5, roughly twelve months in, and $59.99 about a year after that. If that ladder is accurate, the first rise lands in the middle of Early Access — not “closer to full release”.
The verdict stays Teased because the numbers exist only in an interview relayed through a third party; the store text — the only official commitment — still names no figure. But the direction and the mechanism (rising as content ships) now agree across both sources, and that is worth knowing before you budget: the cheapest documented price WARDOGS has ever had is the one on sale today. For what the current $39.99 buys and how the in-game economy moves, start with the beginner guide.
Consoles: A 2028 Window With Nothing Attached
The one console statement in existence is still the launch trailer of 10 September 2026: “COMING TO CONSOLES IN 2028” — a year, the plural “consoles”, and nothing else: no platform, no date, no crossplay, no cross-save. The 22 September relay adds Brammer’s reasoning — the team does not want to overload developers to hit an earlier console release — which is context, not commitment. Our console and crossplay status page tracks every platform development the day it happens.

What No Official Source Says Yet
The gap register — each of these stays Unconfirmed until Bulkhead puts words in one of its own channels:
- What Season 2 actually contains. The official record is a date. Cut-feature restorations, rain and a wipe are all relays.
- Whether the weather system changes gameplay. Even the 22 September relay says the developers have not said whether rain affects visibility or vehicle handling.
- The wipe, in Bulkhead’s own words. The most player-consequential item on this page has no official text.
- A 1.0 date, quarter or even year-half. Only the 1-to-2-year range exists.
- Console platforms and dates. “Consoles in 2028” has never been narrowed.
- Crossplay and cross-save. Nothing, anywhere, official or relayed.
- Whether Early Access progress survives to 1.0. Nothing published — and the studio has demonstrated it will zero progress when it decides to.
How to Re-Verify Every Item Yourself
Every claim here was checked on 27 September 2026 and none of it requires trusting us:
- Official announcements and relays: the Steam news feed for appid 1867240 (
api.steampowered.com/ISteamNews/GetNewsForApp/v2/) lists every item with its gid and timestamp. Every gid in the tables above is from that feed. - The store section: the Early Access text on the Steam store page — the fighter jets list and the 1-to-2-year line are in the developer’s own answers there.
- The trailer quote: the 2028 line is quoted in full on our console status page, with the source announcement named.
If an item here disagrees with what you find today, the feed wins — and this page’s date stamp is the tell for how stale the disagreement is.
What the Roadmap Means for How You Play
Practical reads, each tied to a row above:
- Grinding for keeps? The Season 2 wipe is relayed for 15 October. Either stop grinding ranked-unlock-heavy tracks now, or grind knowing the reset is expected — our XP leveling guide shows which levels cost the most per hour.
- Budgeting? The documented price floor is today’s $39.99, and the relayed ladder only goes up. Buying now is the only direction every source supports; see the full Early Access commitments.
- Waiting for consoles? 2028 is a window, not a product. Everything else you might read is speculation.
- Just here to play well this week? None of the roadmap changes match-day fundamentals — the game modes guide is where your time pays.
All items on this page were pulled first-hand on 27 September 2026 from the Steam news feed for WARDOGS (appid 1867240) via the public ISteamNews endpoint — every gid above is a real feed item with the timestamp shown — and from the Steam store page (region us), whose Early Access section was re-verified word for word on the same day. Statements relayed through PCGamesN, GamesRadar+ or PlayGround.ru are marked Teased/Community-reported; date arithmetic on the 1-to-2-year range is ours, not a published date. The week-of-28-September information drop was promised but not yet published when this page was compiled. This registry is re-checked after every official announcement; the date stamp above tells you how current it is.
